The Hike to this Amazing Arch is Well Worth the Effort
Aug 30, 2022
We love Arches and Canyon lands National Parks, every time we go we see something new. This time on our fall trip to Utah we stayed outside of the Parks on Highway 279 and went to see what this Little Rainbow Bridge was all about.

Camping along the Colorado River
This morning we packed up camp and headed over to Corona Arch (also known as Little Rainbow Bridge). This arch is actually taller than Delicate Arch and includes two more arches on the hike, Bowtie Arch and Pinto Arch.

Crossing the Railroad tracks on the trail
The hike is moderate in difficulty due to slick rock, sheer cliffs, rocky talus, all the fun stuff. But hey, there are cables to hold onto and ladders to help with the climbs!

Cables to help get you up the trail
It’s a short hike in length, about 3 miles round trip, and starts by crossing over the Potash Railroad. The views start by going through sandstone cliffs and continue into Bootlegger Canyon before reaching Bowtie Arch.

The view looking up towards Bowtie Arch
At the time of our hike, we didn’t know about Pinto Arch, so we will have to travel back sometime soon to check it out. It’s about 1.2 miles past Corona Arch.

Hiking up to Corona Arch
If you do the full hike plan on resting between the first two arches to take in the views. There are plenty of places to sit back and enjoy the Utah scenery, as you can see in the photos.
